What’s it like to be homeless in Montana? How about homeless and uninsured — and what if your teeth are starting to hurt?
Judy Stewart thinks about these things — and then she acts to find ways to increase access to health and dental care for those in need. She’s been working hard to help other people lead better lives for more than 22 years, 20 of them with RiverStone Health, where she started as a visiting nurse. Since then Stewart has served as director of the organization’s visiting nurse, home health and hospice programs. She is now the vice president for strategic development, where she spends time thinking about how to make things better for all members of the community.
"We care about the people we serve, and we care about the people who work here," says Stewart. "We are an ever-changing, pro-active organization staffed with people who not only recognize opportunities but are willing, able and prepared to meet those opportunities with innovation and energy."
