Who We Are:
RiverStone Health, formerly Yellowstone City–County Health Department, is a major player in the health services arena in Yellowstone County and southeastern Montana. While we are a provider of personal health services, we also remain the bedrock of public and environmental health services in our community. By connecting people in the community to quality health services, we help them lead better lives.

What We Do:
Our mission is to improve life, health and safety in southeastern Montana.
As a provider of quality primary care and public health services in southeastern Montana, we are actively engaged in community health initiatives, issues and concerns.
We connect members of the community with the right services to address their health needs by working as a team and partnering with other healthcare service providers.
We HELP our customers by providing Health, Education, Leadership and Protection to the communities we serve.
- Health - RiverStone Health provides healthcare and health services to communities and individuals.
- Education - Part of community and public health is providing critical health information and education. RiverStone Health increases awareness in the community through educational opportunities and partnerships in the local school systems and universities. We also provide extensive training and education for future healthcare professionals as we work to solve the imminent healthcare workforce crisis.
- Leadership - RiverStone Health is a leader in health services and public health on the local, state and national level. Public-health and health-services organizations often seek our expertise, as evidenced by the variety of presentations made by our staff to local, state and nationwide groups. Our leadership is also evidenced by the experience of the RiverStone Health staff members serving on boards and committees at varying levels, including the chairmanship of the board of directors of the National Association of Community Health Centers. Additionally, the media and public policymakers often seek us out as a source of credible information.
- Protection - An important piece of our public-health focus is protecting the community from potential health risks. RiverStone Health strives to be a credible authority on public-health matters and on enforcing public-health standards.
