Montana is a member of the University of Washington-School of Medicine’s WWAMI Program. WWAMI is an acronym for Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. Selected students from these states are able to complete their graduate medical training through the University of Washington while a portion of their education is completed in their home state.

The WWAMI Billings Track is for third and fourth year UW medical students who would like to complete all or a majority of their clerkship requirements in Montana. All six required third year rotations are offered in Billings, Montana: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, and OB/GYN. Fourth year clerkships currently include Neurology and Anesthesiology; other clerkships are continuously being added.
