RiverStone Health Hospice Services cares for patients who are not seeking curative or diagnostic treatment services, and instead elect to receive comfort-oriented hospice and palliative care which neither hastens death, nor prolongs life.
RiverStone Health Hospice Services is the only hospice in Montana nationally accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP). Created in 1965, CHAP was the first to recognize the need and value for accreditation in community-based care and is the oldest national, community-based accrediting body with more than 5,000 agencies currently accredited nationwide. CHAP accreditation assures the highest standards and quality of care is provided to our hospice patients.
We provide care and grief support services in client homes and health facilities, including our 7-bed hospice residential care unit, the Horizon Hospice Home. Together with patient and family, hospice staff and volunteers help relieve pain and symptoms and work to decrease psychological, social, emotional, or spiritual distress and support caregivers.
To obtain services, patients, families, physicians or hospital care managers may call about a hospice referral. The patient’s physician must agree that the patient meets hospice eligibility.
