Hotels/Motels

RiverStone Health’s Environmental Health Services conducts annual inspections of public accommodations (hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast throughout Yellowstone County. Hotel and motel rooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, halls, storage rooms, housekeeping facilities, and continental breakfast areas are inspected for health related issues. Inspections are conducted to determine compliance with Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services Rules.
 

Swimming Pools

RiverStone Health Environmental Health Services inspects all pools and spas that offer public use within Yellowstone County. The inspection is geared toward verifying that the operators of these pools accurately test the water for levels of disinfectant (chlorine/bromine) and other parameters needed to ensure prevention of recreational water illnesses. Inspections of the facility also ensure that proper safety equipment and signs are present to keep the public safe from injury or drowning.
