Healthy By Design Recognition Mission
The purpose of the Healthy By Design recognition is to encourage, recognize, educate and create a standard of excellence for promoting healthy lifestyles by encouraging active living and healthy choices that shape the future of our community.
Healthy Places Advisory Committee Goal for the Recognition
- To recognize events and activities in Yellowstone County that are taking progressive steps to promote healthy lifestyles by encouraging active living and healthy choices
- To use the recognition criteria as an educational tool to provide recommendations and guidance to event coordinators in an effort to create events/activities that enhance the health of our community
Application Deadlines
- Applications will be scored by the Healthy By Design Review Team on an ongoing basis.
- Notification and recommendations will be provided in writing following the review.
- Appeals may be made in writing within 10 days of notification letter.
- Events that occur multiple times throughout the year will be recognized for one calendar year. Applications must be resubmitted each year.

- Certificate of recognition
